I like Newt for years he has been one of my favorite analysts of current events. I was rooting for him when he was the elder statesman speaking above the fray and not beating up on his opponents. His ability to draw a parallel to historical events to support all his positions give his words and ideas real weight. I like Rick Santorum,  he always demonstrated a solid factual knowledge of important events and good insights on how to address them. Ron Paul's passion for less government is admirable, but some of his positions on legalizing drugs, allowing Iran to have nuclear weapons etc. are too risky for the world we live in. Mitt Romney is OK, he has a good background. All this talk about vulture capitalism is bunk. But the bottom line is he has the advantage and there is no clear path for any of the other candidates. The need to band together and focus on what we need to do to get the country back on track. They need to focus on Obama and stop wasting time attacking each other. Yes there is some value in making Romney a better candidate, but several more months focusing on why Obama's policies are wrong for this country is for more valuable. I don't have anything against Obama personally, I do disagree with his vision of change for the country. That is what all of the candidates energies should be focused on. Obama is going to be a difficult opponent to beat and should not be underestimated.
