Clockwise from top left: The Wicked Noodle, An Edible Mosaic, Eclectic Recipes

By Michael Bartiromo

| February 1, 2017
It's often said that variety is the spice of life, and that's true in many cases — just not on Super Bowl Sunday. As everybody knows, buffalo sauce is the preferred spice of life on Super Bowl Sunday, hands down. READ: New Study Says Guys Who Like Spicy Food Have More Testosterone That being said, you can still inject a little variety into your game-day gathering by swapping out a tray of buffalo wings for a different buffalo-drenched appetizer, such as popcorn, cauliflower, or even French-bread pizza. In fact, we've gathered 18 great ideas for buffalo-based recipes below, and each looks just as delicious as a plate of fiery wings. Try one of the following recipes at this year's Super Bowl party, but just be sure not to skimp on that sauce. (Like we said earlier, "variety" is fine and dandy, but it's no substitute for Frank's RedHot.)
Half Baked Harvest
Buffalo Oven-Fried Goat Cheese
"This buffalo 'fried' goat cheese is goooood," writes Tieghan Gerard from Half Baked Harvest. "Like really, really good," By the looks of that picture up there, we're inclined to believe her, too. Grab her full recipe here.
Eclectic Recipes

Taste and Tell blogger Deborah Harroun has discovered the perfect game-day treat in these buffalo chicken taquitos. For the full recipe, click here.

Snappy Gourmet
Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Mushrooms
Here's another party idea from Lisa Huff at Snappy Gourmet: buffalo stuffed mushrooms. Try out the recipe here.
Damn Delicious
Buffalo Ranch Fries
Chung-Ah Rhee's blog is called Damn Delicious, and that's just what these buffalo ranch fries are. Here's how to make 'em.
An Edible Mosaic
Cauliflower Buffalo Wings
Veggies are usually served as an accompaniment to a plate of buffalo wings, but Faith Gorsky of An Edible Mosaic makes them the star of the show. Try out her recipe on game day.
How Sweet It Is
Buffalo Chicken French Breads
It's French-bread pizza, Super Bowl-style. It's also the brainchild of Jessica at How Sweet It Is, who has personally eaten this dish hundreds of times. Get her full recipe here.
How Sweet It Is
Buffalo Chicken Soup
Jessica at How Sweet It Is didn't stop at buffalo French-bread pizzas; she puts a buffalo spin on chicken soup too. Come this Sunday, however, she advises we quadruple her recipe.
Ari's Menu
Buffalo Deviled Eggs
After seeing this fiery-hot recipe for Ari Ziskin's deviled eggs at Ari's Menu, we have to wonder: Why aren't all deviled eggs made this way?
Simply Scratch
Buffalo Chicken Flatbread Pizza
Laurie, the recipe blogger behind Simply Scratch, understands that you can never have too much pizza at a Super Bowl party, be it delivery or this homemade flatbread version. We wholeheartedly agree.
And They Cooked Happily Ever After
Buffalo Chicken Tacos
This idea comes from Kate, who shares her (and her husband's) recipes at And They Cooked Happily Ever After. It's everything you love about buffalo wings — the buffalo sauce, the blue cheese, even the carrots and celery — inside a charred and chewy tortilla. Get the complete recipe here.
Bev Cooks
Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas
Bev at Bev Cooks originally whipped up these quesadillas in honor of March Madness, but that doesn't spoil it for us one bit. This same recipe still makes a super Super Bowl snack.

Buffalo Chicken Meatloaf
Regular meatloaf? BORING. Buffalo chicken meatloaf? Now we're cooking! Tracey from Tracey's Culinary Adventures really lives up to her blog's name with this unique game-day meal. Check out the full recipe here.
The Spiffy Cookie
Buffalo Chicken Meatball Subs
We've already seen buffalo meatballs on the list, but hungrier football fans might want to try out this recipe for buffalo chicken meatball subs. We can thank Erin at The Spiffy Cookie for this fantastic idea.
